Movies Reviews:
In 1889, six months after Jack the Ripper struck the East End of London, the police of the Whitechapel 'H Division' try to restore law and order to the streets.
It was a pleasant surprise that Ripper Street 3 was renewed by Amazon Prime/UK -- it will stream online first in the UK, then air later on the BBC in Britain and, eventually, BBC America. Thanks to all who signed the online petitions and kept the good word circulating!!! I would personally like to thank the Extras.
Ripper is a good reflexion on 19th Century post Ripper Drama without the focus on the Ripper murders themselves. Some of the story lines are a bit theatrical but in general, quite entertaining with Game of Thrones star Jerome Flynn partnered with "Spooks" Matthew Macfadyen and the side kick quirky and Bohemian Adam Rothenberg. It's a good period Crime Drama with lots of twists and new characters as it goes along.
